Pepperdine to Host Religion and Law Conference Feb 8 and 9

Legal scholars from law schools around the United States will be meeting at the Caruso School of Law on February 8 and 9 to discuss the future of the Religion Clauses of the U.S. Constitution.

The conference will begin Thursday, February 8, 2023, with a presentation by two former U.S. Solicitors General Noel Francisco and Don Verilli on the subject of “Litigating Church and State from the Solicitor General’s Office.” 

On Friday, religion and law experts will be participating in panel discussions on the topics of  “Religious Liberty and the Right to Abortion,” “The Future of Religious Exemptions,” “Government Funding of Religion,” and “What Happened to the Wall Separating Church and State?”

The event is co-sponsored by Founders’ First Freedom and the Nootbaar Institute at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and will take place on the Malibu campus.
