Editorial Policy

ReligiousLiberty.TV is committed to accurate, fair, and independent journalism on religious freedom. These standards guide every story we publish.

1. Mission

ReligiousLiberty.TV covers the free exercise and establishment clauses of the First Amendment, the rights of conscience of people of all faiths and no faith, and related legal, legislative, and cultural developments. We serve believers, nonbelievers, attorneys, advocates, educators, and anyone who cares about liberty of conscience as a foundational human right.

2. Editorial Independence

ReligiousLiberty.TV is a project of Founders’ First Freedom®, a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our editorial decisions are made independently of donors, advertisers, and organizational affiliates. No advertiser or funder has any influence over which stories we cover or how we cover them.

3. Sourcing Standards

We prefer primary sources: court filings, statutes, official records, and direct statements from parties involved. We attribute every factual claim. When we cite secondary sources, we link to them. We do not publish unverified rumors or anonymous allegations without corroboration.

4. Opinion vs. Reporting

News and analysis pieces are clearly distinguished from opinion and commentary. Opinion pieces represent the views of the named author only and do not necessarily represent the views of ReligiousLiberty.TV, Founders’ First Freedom®, the editorial staff, or the advisory panel.

5. Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly and transparently. If you believe a factual error has been published, please contact us with the URL of the article and the specific claim you believe is incorrect. We will review within two business days. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the corrected article.

6. Legal Disclaimer

Michael D. Peabody, editor, is a licensed attorney in California. Nothing published on ReligiousLiberty.TV constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship. Readers with specific legal questions should consult a licensed attorney in their jurisdiction.

7. Advertising

Advertising may appear on ReligiousLiberty.TV to help support operating costs. Advertising is contextually assigned and does not represent an endorsement of any product, service, or advertiser. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content. If you find specific advertising inappropriate, please contact us with the advertiser’s name.

8. AI and Technology Disclosure

ReligiousLiberty.TV may use AI-assisted tools for research, summarization, or editing assistance. Any content produced with substantial AI assistance will be disclosed in the byline or a note at the end of the article. All published content is reviewed and takes responsibility for by a human editor before publication.

9. Diversity and Perspective

We cover religious liberty issues across the full political and theological spectrum. We actively seek voices from diverse faith traditions, legal perspectives, and viewpoints. We believe that robust protection for religious liberty requires a commitment to protecting it for everyone, not only for majority or favored traditions.
