American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio v. State of Ohio is a Establishment Clause case in 2000-2001. The court held that the Sixth Circuit initially ruled the Ohio state motto unconstitutional as government endorsement of Christianity, but the full court panel reversed and allowed the motto to remain as ceremonial deism.
