I write this while watching a memorial service streamed from Phoenix. You may be watching it too. There are thousands of people. Silent. Searching. You could feel it. Beneath the grief, there was hunger. A hunger for hope. A hunger for God.
That same hunger is everywhere right now. Scroll your feed. Walk your campus. Listen at work. People are asking questions they used to ignore. Friends who left church are rethinking faith. Co-workers are whispering about prayer. Even skeptics are wondering if there is more to life than what they can see.
This is not just another moment. This is a spiritual awakening. One of the biggest we will see in our lifetime. The Holy Spirit is moving.
And here’s the truth: this is not the time to shrink back. This is the time to stand up.
People are looking for leaders. They are looking for courage. They are looking for someone who can say, “I don’t have all the answers, but I know the One who does.” That is where you come in.
God has always called His people to moments like this. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid…for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Esther spoke up when staying quiet would have saved her. Daniel prayed when it nearly cost him everything. Jesus carried the cross because love demanded it. Courage in Scripture is not about being fearless. It is about trusting God when fear is loud.
Some people will always focus on the negative. They will see only the conflict, the pain, and the chaos. People of faith see opportunity. We see doors opening. We see revival breaking out.
And make no mistake: revival is not just church stages packed with people. Revival is group chats blowing up with questions about faith. It is a friend texting, “Can you pray for me?” It is a younger sibling asking, “Who is Jesus really?” It is your co-worker saying, “I don’t know where else to turn.” That is revival. That is awakening. That is now.
Paul wrote, “Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Not tomorrow. Not someday. Today.
Our work is not finished. The Great Commission has not expired. Hudson Taylor once said, “The Great Commission is not an option to be considered. It is a command to be obeyed.” Right now, the world is open. Right now, people are searching. Right now, God is calling.
So what do we do? We show up. We lead. We answer questions with honesty and love. We introduce people to Jesus. We point to the cross.
This is not a season to waste. Not a season to scroll past. Not a season to retreat. This is a season to rise.
The Spirit is moving. The world is watching. The time is now. And the promise of Joshua 1:9 still stands: “The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

A Prayer for Courage Right Now
God, give us courage when the world feels shaky.
Give us boldness when questions come.
Give us compassion for the ones who are searching.
Help us show Your love in a way that points straight to Jesus.
Amen.
